Neighborhood Redevelopment Branch

Mission Statement:

To provide for quality of life amenities and enhance the livability of our built and natural environments.

The Neighborhood Redevelopment Branch meets our mission by delivering services through the seven Divisions linked to the right.

Featured Project for the Neighborhood Redevelopment Branch:

Escambia County Central Office Complex

Escambia County's new Central Office Complex off Fairfield Road is a LEED Certified Green Building incorporating several Low Impact Design features including a green vegetated roof, pervious concrete parking lot, and curbless bioretention areas to reduce stormwater runoff from the site and improve water quality. The green roof is planted with six species of native vegetation that soak up rainfall, while the 5 inches of growth media provides rooftop insulation that reduces the building's heating and cooling costs by up to 50%. In addition, the new Central Office Complex includes the Water Quality Laboratory where stormwater and sediment samples are analyzed to ensure the County is meeting its NPDES Stormwater Permit requirements.
