Development Services

The Development Services Department is located at 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola, FL 32505 in the Escambia County Central Office Complex (COC), the County's centralized location for all County services related to development. The Department is comprised of the following divisions involved with the planning, development review, permitting, and inspection processes:

 

Building Inspections

Responsible for

  • Contractor licensing
  • Plans review
  • Construction permitting and inspections
  • Enforcement of building codes within the County

 

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Responsible for

  • Development and maintenance of the County GIS
  • Data collection and map creation
  • Assigning addresses within the County.

 

Planning & Zoning

Responsible for

  • Providing zoning information & land use verification
  • Project management of special projects
  • Processing amendments to the Comprehensive Plan & Land Development Code
  • Maintain the Future Land Use and Zoning Maps
