As the Development Review Division, it is our goal to partner with you in the development of your project within Escambia County. In order to help facilitate the process, please consider these few points:

Before you begin your project, please check & double check your zoning and future land use category first. All of our planners will gladly help you with this critical first step.

A pre-application meeting is not required for all development proposals, however, we strongly recommend that you have one. This is a free service that we offer so that we can highlight the ordinance regulations and address potential issues and discuss potential solutions.
Please submit an accurate and legible site plan, along with a complete application. We have checklists available to assist you with the development proposal.

Reviews and Approvals:
All Subdivision and Site Development Plans must be approved prior to the issuance of a building permit as required in Article 4 of the Land Development Code. Review the submittal requirements listed below.

Development Review Approval Process Workflow

Initial Submittal Packages shall be submitted to the DRC Coordinator, in Development Review by calling (850) 595-3472 to schedule an appointment. The deadline to submit COMPLETE Site Plan Submittal Packages is 11:30 am every WEDNESDAY.
