Optional Sector Plan

The optional sector plan process was established as an alternative to the Development of Regional Impact (DRI) process, pursuant to F.S. § 163.3245. Sector plans approved through comprehensive plan amendments will be initiated by the local government in agreement with the Department of Community Affairs (DCA).

The Detailed Specific Area Plan (DSAP) Boundary was approved by the BCC at the April 8, 2010 meeting. The conceptual long term buildout overlay was incorporated into the EAR Based Amendments. The Adoption Package was approved by the BCC at the June 3, 2010 BCC meeting to be transmitted to the DCA. The Notice of Intent & Statement of Intent was received July 21, 2010.
