Measurement, Use, and Taxation of Wetland Buffers
The following policy and procedure manual are posted to allow individuals and organizations an opportunity to present their comments regarding Escambia County's Wetland Ordinance 2003-9.

The position paper addresses the following questions:

  • Question 1: From what points is the buffer width measured and what width is appropriate?
  • Question 2: What uses are acceptable within the buffer?
  • Question 3: What are the property tax and appraisal implications of the buffers? Who owns the buffer areas?

The questions are addressed individually along with staff positions.
