"Volunteers are vital to making our county strong. Without an incredible volunteer network, we would not be able to provide services to many of our residents."
![]() Volunteer! If you are seeking an opportunity to do useful work that benefits others, then Escambia County needs you! Aside from the heartwarming benefit of helping the less fortunate, volunteering also gives you the opportunity to develop and learn new skills, and helps give you a sense of community. Volunteering isn’t just a way of giving to others, it’s something you give to yourself. Please look over our brochure and read about the many opportunities we have for volunteers. Contact Tonya Gant in our volunteer recruitment office and she’ll match your skills and interests to our needs. Help us help make Escambia County better for everyone. Our volunteers assist in providing expanded services to the public that, in many cases, would not otherwise be available. Volunteers span a variety of ages, come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and have a multitude of skill levels. But they all have one thing in common—they care about their community. Many volunteers fill essential long-term, committed positions with county divisions as master gardeners, animal assistants, youth leaders and more. But our short-term volunteers are just as important. If you have only a few hours to offer, we welcome your help with any of our special events. Wherever you volunteer, we appreciate your hard work and dedication. Escambia County is better because of our volunteers! |
